How does the shredding process work?

Exactly what does the shredding process look like? Let’s find out.

Pre-Service

To begin with, our advisors will analyse your paper usage and estimate a cost based on how much needs to be removed from your premises. The analysis will determine whether or not you require a weekly, fortnightly or monthly collection. A quote will then be devised.

Analysis of your needs

Dependent on your amount, we will provide you with secure shredding sacks, lock and slot consoles or wheelie bins to fill.
We will also determine whether your workplace is suitable for a truck to park outside and utilise the mobile shredding service (on-site shredding). If parking is limited (such as on a high street) you may consider off-site shredding where we take all material back to the depot for shredding.
Or if you simply want an ad hoc collection for a one-off purge clear out, then we can quote based on the approximate amount you want to shred.

The Shredding Process

Collection

Once you’ve started filling your bins, you can schedule a convenient time for a collection. A truck will arrive at your premises and either shred on-site or return to the depot to shred your materials. Our fully trained and vetted staff handle your waste with the utmost care and attention to ensure your data is protected.

Shredding

Once our trucks are full, they return to the depot. If the material has already been shredded, it’s then baled and taken to paper mills to be recycled. Un-shredded paper goes through our industrial size shredding machines which cross-cut to tiny particles. Material is then baled and sent to the paper mill. All materials at the paper mill are recycled.

Flexibility

If you find the frequency of collections need altering, then we can adjust to suit your exact requirements. Similarly, we do not tie you in to long contracts, so if you do decide you don’t need our services any longer, then we won’t restrict you.
